Strengthening Foundations for the 2025 State Legislative Sessions: A Recap of NCSL

Enova’s Government Relations (GR) team recently attended the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) with a clear objective: to build and strengthen relationships that will help our mission of helping hardworking people get access to fast, trustworthy credit. Here’s a recap of key engagements and takeaways from the event.

Strategic Meetings with Legislative Leaders

We engaged in discussions about Enova, our products and our ongoing commitment to supporting access to credit for consumers and small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs). These types of conversations are instrumental in establishing a foundation of understanding and collaboration with lawmakers who will play pivotal roles in helping close the credit gap.

Advocating for Access to Credit

We collaborated with industry and non-industry stakeholders on legislation to protect and expand banks lending to underserved communities in partnership with third-party servicers who can offer innovative technology and analytics. These organizations, including Chambers of Commerce, are crucial allies in our efforts to advocate for access to credit. By aligning with these groups, we aim to amplify our message and ensure that lawmakers hear our customers’ stories through trusted voices within their communities.

Looking Ahead

The relationships we’ve built and the conversations we’ve had will be crucial as we continue to advocate for policies that support access to credit and financial inclusion. We are committed to staying engaged and working closely with lawmakers, industry partners and community organizations to close the credit gap in the coming years.
