Striving to Make a Difference
September 14th, 2012
Volunteering and giving back to my community has long been a big part of my life. I spent nearly two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer serving in the impoverished Eastern Caribbean, and am grateful that my role at Enova allows me enough time to serve as an English language tutor with local social service organization Universidad Popular.
When I came to Enova, many friends and family questioned how working for a financial services company was compatible with my socially conscious ethos. I’m proud to say that the management team at Enova has always had a commitment to community and has been incredibly receptive to new initiatives to meet our social responsibilities to the customers and communities we serve.
Projects I’ve had an opportunity to participate in include Enova Gives, which works with local and national charities and CashNetUSA’s It’s Economic, a financial education and resource center for our customers.
And I’m proud to be participating in our first-ever live financial education seminar, Manage Your Money, featuring industry financial experts Charlotte Stallings, Max Jaffe, and Princess Clark-Wendel. Taking place on Thursday, September 27, this event will allow us to bring people seeking financial advice and education face-to-face with known experts on these topics.
I’m fortunate to work for a company that not only seeks to help consumers by offering the innovative financial products they need, but also by giving back to the customers and communities we serve.
