Making an Impact by Volunteering at A Safe Haven

What an amazing month this has been! Though there are a million exciting things to share about my time at Enova, today I would like to tell you about the intern volunteering event at A Safe Haven. This admirable organization “helps people aspire, transform, and sustain their lives from homelessness to self-sufficiency with pride and purpose.” There is nothing quite like seeing the grateful faces of the people that rely on the help that A Safe Haven provides to them on a regular basis.

The Enova interns team, led by Allison and Lizzie, was sorting, packing and giving out groceries to people who came to A Safe Haven that day. Dried goods, meats and produce flowed along our self-made assembly line and before we knew it we were able to serve nearly 160 people. Not only was it a rewarding experience to serve the people in need in our community, but it was also great to spend a day alongside other interns and the recruitment team and share this experience with them. We all had an amazing time and shared a lot of laughs and if you ask Cassie she might just tell you a story about how I got a new nickname that day!

I applaud Enova’s continued commitment and support to the multiple charitable partner organizations through volunteering service and I am thankful for the opportunity to give back.
