Getting to Know Our Portfolio Analytics Teams, Featuring Team Voltron

Meet Team Voltron
You’ve met some of our apprentices, interns and marketing managers in past editions of Enova’s Getting to Know series. Today, we’re featuring one of our Portfolio Analytics teams, Team Voltron. Take a minute to meet everyone on the team and see what they’re up to.
Name and role: Hakan Karagul, Portfolio Analytics Manager
Day-to-day work:
- Build predictive models and analyze data. I also function as a bridge between business teams and the analysts in my team.
- Answering tons of random questions every day. These questions are mostly related to database tables, product features and credit models.
Favorite thing about working at Enova:
- Working with open-minded, smart people.
Fun fact about me:
- I’m against the idea of sampling different flavors at ice cream shops. A little uncertainty won’t hurt you, people.
Name and role: Hannah Worrall, Analytics Analyst III
Day-to-day work:
- Building and implementing models, especially models related to loan processing and electronic bank statements.
Favorite things about working at Enova:
- Working with smart, curious people
Fun fact about me:
- I played rugby in high school.
Name and role: Jacob Dink, Analytics Analyst III
Day-to-day work:
- I’ll be developing an R package that standardizes the model building/model testing pipeline.
Favorite thing about working at Enova:
- Everyone is super friendly and helpful!
Fun fact about me:
- This is my first job out of graduate school, where I did a PhD in Cognitive Psychology, studying how people reason about scientific and evolutionary processes.
Name and role: Kaan Gunaydin, Analytics Analyst III
Day-to-day work:
- Monitoring performance and getting new data for future analysis through SQL.
- Writing modeling code in R.
- Using Python, automation and constant monitoring to improve efficiency.
Favorite thing about working at Enova:
- The value of “operate as an owner” — I take this value quite seriously and try to apply it every day. It’s been a great driver in my personal development and the reason I come to work excited.
Fun fact about me:
- I’m a huge nerd of weird sports: cycling, ski jumping, curling, etc. I can sit down and watch a 4-hour cycling race; it’s pretty awesome!
Name and role: Dan Anderson, Analytics Sr. Analyst I
Day-to-day work:
- Freshening up my SQL skills, planning and scripting an automated data model
Favorite thing about working at Enova:
- Friendly coworkers make for an inviting and fun workplace.
Fun fact about me:
- Originally from the East Coast.
- I visited Southeast Asia before ever visiting the Midwest.
Name and role: Eric Lundquist, Intern
Day-to-day work:
- Building a series of NetCredit credit models.
- Gathering public information and reviews for Headway Capital applications.
Favorite things about working at Enova:
- Learning from my coworkers.
- Free Dr. Pepper!
Fun fact about me:
- I’ve gone snowboarding in New Zealand.
