Enova Team Strikes it Big at Bowl For Kids Sake Fundraiser
By: Akshay Ekkundi, U.S. Product Manager
On the 28th of April, Enova got together with the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Chicago to host a Fundraiser for the organization. This is an event that we have been doing over the years to support BBBS, but this year we decided to place an emphasis on fundraising. Every team pledged a certain amount of money per pin knocked down.
Enova employees as a whole raised $1,040.88 for the program. This money directly supported the BBSS on-site program with Enova. The BBBS onsite program is comprised of gatherings where “littles” join us here in the office on a bi-weekly basis. We interact with our littles, play games, help them with homework and do some activities. The whole goal of the program is to provide some positive, helpful mentorship to the kids.
We in the CashNetUSA team decided to form a team called “Ebowla” to take part in the event. Our team included Allie, Hanane, Alpert, Scott, Valerie, Steve and myself. We had a respectable 932 total pins knocked down. Having pledged $0.25 per pin, we helped to raise over $200 for BBBS. Not only did we have the opportunity to help a great cause, we are now eagerly awaiting our celebratory pizza party!
The event was a major success, and everyone who came out had a really great time. Our donations help Big Brothers Big Sisters make a meaningful impact on the community. We look forward to next year’s bowling night and the opportunity to beat our donation record!
