Enova employees took a night to roll some strikes and raise some funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) at the Bowl for Kids’ Sake event on Thursday, April 3. This is just one of many events aligned with the Enova Gives program, a commitment to serving the local community through donations and volunteer work.

Over 140 Enova employees attended the event, forming 18 teams and competing for the best average score and the best team name. Team PIN/ACK had the best average score, with team E=MC^Spared winning the prize for cleverest team name.

“The bowling itself was fun,” says Crayton Montei, Enova’s editorial manager. “And it was refreshing to spend some time relaxing with colleagues. However, as a member of team I Can’t Believe It’s Not Gutter, I should note that the competition for best team name was neck and neck.”

Altogether, Enova donated $5,000 to BBBS of Metropolitan Chicago. Of the Enova employees in attendance, 16 are currently serving as BBBS mentors, aka “bigs,” and meet with their “littles” two Wednesdays a month. Enova has partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters since 2010.

“[We are] proud to call Enova a true partner,” says Art Mollenhauer, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago. “[We want to say] thank you to Enova, and the many dedicated employees who serve as volunteer mentors and Bowl For Kids’ Sake fundraisers, [for the way they] bring the power of mentoring to youth facing adversity in our city. You truly are making a difference, and we applaud Enova for being a great corporate citizen and encouraging its employees to get involved.”
