Getting to Know: Marketing
Want to know more about the folks who call Enova home? We asked Jennifer Dewey — one of Enova’s Senior Marketing Associates — our five favorite “get to know you better” questions, and here’s what she had to say:
How did you come to work at Enova?
Believe it or not, I started my professional career as a high school teacher at Roberto Clemente in Ukrainian Village. After realizing teaching wasn’t going to challenge me the way I wanted it to, I switched careers, taking an unpaid internship at a digital marketing start-up company. I quickly rose through the ranks at several digital marketing start-up agencies over the course of four years, and while I thoroughly enjoyed having a strong voice in the growth and direction of the various companies, I was ready to move toward a client-based position, in addition to learning more aspects of larger businesses. I was offered positions at Enova and another company, but it was Enova’s company culture and people that made my decision for me.
What do you do at Enova?
For the first year and a half at Enova, I was in SEO for the U.S. Marketing team and a go-to contact for all SEO-related questions for other marketing teams. Recently, I’ve started developing my skills as a Product Manager for the U.S. team.
What’s the best part of working at Enova?
I’m a huge Enova geek — I absolutely love working here — so it’s hard to nail down the “best” part of working at Enova. However, if I had to choose just one thing, I would say that the perks (food, on-site services, etc.) really give Enova an added allure.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would probably live somewhere in the Pacific Northwest — some place like British Columbia or Seattle — because I love how gorgeous the landscape is, and I really connect with the clean, eco-minded, laid-back and active community.
