Enova Participates in Social Media Week Chicago
Seminar Covered Strategies for Maximizing Social Media in Highly Regulated Markets
CHICAGO (September 26, 2013) — As part of Social Media Week Chicago, social media experts from across the Chicagoland area gathered today at Enova headquarters to learn techniques for leveraging social media in highly regulated markets.
Enova’s Social Media Manager Jennifer Gueringer and the company’s creative marketing team discussed proven tips and strategies to engage key stakeholders across a variety of social media channels. The seminar was part of Social Media Week Chicago, which consists of five days of seminars at venues around the city.
“It is notoriously difficult to use social media to its fullest capacity in markets that are as restricted as ours, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be done,” said Gueringer. The program, “Social Media in Highly Regulated Markets,” covered the problems Enova’s team has encountered as well as the solutions they have developed to work within tight legal and regulatory parameters. “Financial services companies like Enova, along with companies in the energy and government sectors, can still have a voice in social media that is effective and creative,” Gueringer said.
She and her team at Enova discussed their methods for taking advantage of the enormous power social media has to reach an audience. In addition to the seminar, a visual installation detailing 10 case studies in which Enova used social media successfully in spite of tight industry regulations was on display throughout the week. Attendees of the seminar also received gifts from Enova.
