This summer, I joined Enova as a Strategy & Operations intern. My project was to investigate areas of opportunity within the credit counseling team. After the first few weeks of shadowing and onboarding, I narrowed my focus to introducing checks and alerts processes for the workflow of the team. I also created a work distribution and prioritization system for account status management under Credit Counseling in order to improve efficiency of the representatives, while minimizing errors in the workflow.

This summer, I was an intern on the Small Business Portfolio Analytics team. For my project, I built a model using macroeconomic data to predict risk of default for our small business customers. Over the summer, I completed a macroeconomic paper review, found my data sources and needed features, preprocessed my data, and built the final model. Through this experience, I improved my data cleaning, coding and modeling skills. I’m very thankful for my manager and team support throughout the summer! Whenever I got stuck or had questions, someone was always willing to help. I really enjoyed the Enova culture and I’m grateful for the opportunity to intern here!

This summer, I had the chance to work on the Application Stage Synchronization project with the SMB team at Enova. My primary focus was integrating AWS EventBridge, SQS, and Lambda to enhance the Komodo application, which we updated from Salesforce to improve event processing. Using Terraform, I helped ensure the solution was scalable and efficient. Collaborating with other engineers allowed me to deepen my understanding of cloud architecture and automation. The supportive environment at Enova helped me make meaningful contributions while gaining hands-on experience. This internship has significantly improved my technical skills, and I am grateful for the opportunity to grow and learn in such a supportive setting.

This summer, I worked as a Strategy & Operations intern for the CashNetUSA team. I worked on a project that focused on creating an outbound call campaign to re-engage our dormant line of credit customers. I collaborated with various departments across the CNU team to design and implement the campaign, but was also given a lot of autonomy for how I decided to approach the problem. I was able to see the project develop from a simple idea into quantifiable results. I am very fortunate to have worked with such an amazing team that offered me the support and guidance necessary for my growth. It was an incredible experience and I am grateful to have been part of it!

Working at Enova this summer has been an amazing experience! My project gave me the opportunity to develop an API in Go, where we collected data via GitHub’s Webhook API. Using this data, we were able to automate Slack messages to inform teams when there is a new pull request ready to be reviewed, and the status of these pull requests. My partner Eddy and I had the opportunity to create on-premise PostgreSQL tables to store metadata, create Slack and GitHub clients and make an API endpoint for our webhook. Our project serves to accelerate code review and can be expanded across multiple repositories and Slack channels in the future. Additionally, everyone I met at Enova was extremely friendly, welcoming, and willing to help out with anything and everything. I am so thankful for the new connections and skills I have obtained here at Enova!

This summer, I joined Enova as a Market Intelligence intern. It was an amazing learning experience for me, both professionally and personally. I had the opportunity to work on three projects: Enhanced Credit Screening, Consumer Product Concepts and Gen Z Research. I was able to leverage my analytical skills in improving data quality and accuracy for survey screening practices, and also influence go-to-market strategy. During this time, I gained a lot of career exposure by working cross-functionally with marketing teams, as well as people from Analytics. Overall, I can’t imagine having spent my summer anywhere other than at Enova, and I am very grateful for this experience.

My summer internship at Enova was an exceptional experience. I joined the Data Engineering team, contributing to enhancing developer tools using advanced technologies like Terraform, while gaining hands-on experience with back-end engineering using Go and PostgreSQL. Each day presented new learning opportunities, from developing effective tests with mocking, to managing project infrastructure and collaborating with my intern partner, Lily, to solve complex problems. While I gained valuable insights into software engineering practices and tools, the true highlight was the strong connections and camaraderie with my teammates. Socializing with fellow interns and engaging in team activities made my time at Enova truly rewarding. The motto "work someplace awesome" resonated deeply with my experience here — it's not just a slogan, but a genuine part of the Enova culture.

This summer, I had the opportunity to join the Post-Funding Analytics team as an analytics intern. Over the course of 10 weeks, I worked on three models to project fee inflow for the NetCredit LOC securitized loans. The results of my project will allow the Capital Markets team to evaluate the health of pledged loans, as well as determine which new loans to pledge. This project required me to work directly with my stakeholders and learn about different parts of Enova’s business. It was a great experience, and I got to witness firsthand how analytics can help other departments at Enova. Outside of my project, I thoroughly enjoyed working with my team. They were extremely welcoming and made sure I was part of the team. Over the summer, I have taken away invaluable skills, made great connections and had a lot of fun.

This summer, I worked on the Direct Mail team as an analytics intern. My project involved building a new model to predict customer response, and it was hands-down the most engaging data science project I have ever had! I learned methods to clean data and select features that never came up in my college classes, and I challenged myself to complete the project using a language I was not familiar with. I also had a lot of fun with the other interns at our events and got to know the people on my team. Overall, I had a great summer here! Plus, knowing that my team intends to implement my model gives me the confidence that Enova is a company that values its interns and allows us the opportunity to make a real impact.

I really enjoyed my internship at Enova! I was on the NetCredit Installment S&O team and was tasked with exploring the newly launched payment adherence tracker. My project consisted of diving deep into payment adherence data, which was a really great way to improve upon my technical skills by querying large data sets on SQL. I was also extremely lucky to build on my soft skills by communicating with several different teams outside of S&O, and using their insight and feedback to refine my process during the project. Overall, I had a great time on the team and was surrounded by supportive team members across NetCredit S&O, who made my experience priceless.

This summer, I joined Enova as a marketing intern on the Consumer Brand team. During my time, I successfully built and launched a paid social advertising campaign on Facebook for CashNetUSA. I gained a comprehensive understanding of Meta Ads by extensively researching targeting, bidding and creative strategies for Facebook campaigns. I also participated in numerous meetings to learn more about other marketing channels, such as PPC and streaming audio. While I developed many hard skills, my most valuable takeaways were the importance of fostering connections with a team, staying curious and being adaptable in the face of challenges. I'm incredibly grateful to everyone at Enova for contributing to such a supportive, hard-working culture!

This summer, I spent my time with the NetCredit Line of Credit team. My internship with Enova was very transformative and eventful. I spent a majority of my summer working on my two projects that revolved around the income verification of customer segments and also a deep dive of email trends. I was even able to deliver an implementation within the business regarding certain thresholds within a loan processing verification. Another huge takeaway this summer was my journey to learn SQL. I was able to pick up SQL extremely quickly and be very confident in my skills through working on my projects. The support I had around me was amazing and everyone that I collaborated with was very helpful.

This summer, I had the privilege of working as a Software Engineer intern for Enova’s OnDeck team. The internship began with an intensive two-week training focused on Golang and Agile methodologies. After training, my intern partner and I planned our project by creating Jira tickets and a story map. By the end of the summer, we successfully built a pipeline to synchronize application stage changes from Salesforce to an OnDeck API, leveraging AWS services such as Lambda, SQS and EventBridge. This experience taught me how to use cloud computing to implement an automated, scalable solution with robust error handling for enhanced reliability. Beyond the technical work, I had a fantastic time collaborating with fellow interns and my team. The company social and volunteering events were highlights of the summer, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to grow and learn in such a supportive environment.
